Gateway DUO KNX/DMX KNXnet/IP

Beneath Dali DMX is serving as a standard bussystem for stage and lighting system technic. DMX also works as digital
bussystem but different to KNX with a rate of 250 kbit/s instead of 9,6 kbit/s. Within one line up to 512 channels
can be addressed and controlled. This technology is widely spread and so quite affordable.DMX is also used for control of RGB-LED lights. Due to this the DUO-DMX Gateway is able to control coloured lights and light gradients of diverse LED luminaires by using f.i. KNX- pushbuttons. Switching and dimming of single luminaires is possible too.
The gateway has 2 separate outputs each having 512 DMX-channels and so is able to control 2 independant DMX
installations.

The EnOcean variant is excellently suitable for retrofitting of installations.. So the device is designed as ceiling mounted variant and can be mounted easily through the cut-out of a LV-halogen spot. Using the optionally DIN Rail bar clip the device can be mounted in the distribution box alternatively. Therefore the cover plates just have to be snapped off.

For programming of sequences the software DMX Configurator is used. This software is free of charge. The particular steps are set by virtual sliders and stored consecutively then. The Steps also can be set online if the luminaire is connected to the gateway. Several steps added result in a light scene. Light scenes can be linked to sequences which can be triggered by a group address or an EnOcean profile. The assignment of the group addresses is realised by importing the ETS data export file (esf-Datei) into the software. Moreover the software serves for setting and allocation the IP parameters. The initial installation is done via SD card, which can be read
out by the gateway automatically. Additional changes can be made conveniently via Ethernet afterwards.

Another useful and helpful feature is the possiblity to run the device by PoE (Power over Ethernet). By this the cabling efforts are obviated and so the system is optimally suitable for as well first installation as also retrofitting.
